Art of Cynthia Chungsing Lee

This painting is based on a picture I took of the Texan sky on October 2007. I was so impressed by the beauty and grandeur of the clouds as they caused me to consider the magnificent grace of God. I was determined to paint it when I came home. I wanted to use this painting as a way to bless others.

Though life brings challenges, God offers hope. He will lift you above the bondage of dark clouds so that you can escape to his radiance. May you joyfully and freely dance in the safety of his presence.

About myself

In John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

For a long, long time, I had the desire and need for light. When I was lost,  Jesus' love showed me the way and led my family out of darkness and into the light. He brought us the peace and happiness we have today.

Oil painting is a fusion of light and shadow. Light is the energy God gifts us. I hope that I can paint the feelings of warmth, beauty, and peace that God's love brings in order that you may desire to know God, the provider of all good things.

Light is the reason I like to paint clouds and trees. The movement of clouds and the vibration of leaves often reveal the interaction of light and shadow.

I believe that everyone has a purpose in life. The most important thing for me is to fully utilize the talent given by God to express the beauty of the world that God has created.  I'd like my paintings to connect people with nature and God.

August 2011, I was awarded as the “Signature Artist” by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society (NOAPS).
